Marketing Portfolio
From late 2020 into 2021, I worked with Chelsea Green Publishing as a Digital Marketing intern. An employee-owned business, Chelsea Green is recognized as the leading publisher on the politics and practices of sustainable living.

During my internship, I assisted with almost all digital marketing projects. From newsletters to blog posts to social content, I not only gained skills in marketing writing but also a deep understanding of how content garners traffic and turns it into profit.

Following are some examples of the content I helped create.
Newsletters
Chelsea Green Publishing has a large newsletter subscriber count, reaching tens of thousands of readers weekly. As their main direct-to-consumer marketing tactic, a lot of time and energy is put into their content. As the intern, I would create and send out a newsletter at least once a week using MailChimp, recapping recent blog posts, revealing new releases, announcing author events, and more.
Blog Posts
One of the most effective digital marketing practices is consistency. With this in mind, Chelsea Green would add a blog post to their website every day during the work week. To achieve this goal, sometimes I would find old blog posts that could be revamped for the current season and posted, but I would often draft entirely new posts using excepts from their recent releases.
Social Content
Every week, I drafted five Facebook posts to be added once a day, Monday through Friday, for the following week. These posts would usually be linked to the corresponding blog post added to the website the same day to create more traffic. Occasionally, extra content would be made for new releases, events, giveaways, etc.
